Me Made Monday: Abstract Tent Swing Jumper

I purchased this fabric from Mood in Los Angeles. I saw it featured on their Instagram feed and was so happy to actually come across it in the store.

I originally had plans to add sleeves and make it a dress instead. But, when I tried it on without the sleeves, my husband said it looked really cute how it was, over my black tee. So, I left it. I might add the sleeves later, if I tire of the jumper look.

The cut is very simple. Using your favorite tank, fold it in half, lengthwise and place on fold of fabric, then using your pins draft out a wide A-line, as wide as your fabric will allow to go, starting from the bust of your tank, cut two on fold. I used 2 yards, but I'm really short (5'2).

You are clever! I always think "I need a pattern" and don't think about creating without. Your way is so smart!

I love your sense of style, and you are obviously a whiz at creating patterns and sewing them up! Another cute look!
