I'm 30

For a milestone birthday, I'm a go big or go home kinda girl. Well, no cruise this year, so I am going to Washington State to visit my mom for a week. It's our family trip this year. I'm pretty excited to just relax and be with my mom and forget that I am 30.

2 1/2 - 3, with my mom at the park

I gained a step-brother (through my dad's second marriage). He is now my best friend

Prom. The dress my mom and I made together.

I survived a car accident that most people would not.

Me and my husband. Engagement picture. I married a great man.

I accomplished pregnancy

I gave birth to a miracle.

I met Gwen Stefani (thanks to my brother)

I had the experience of being a bridesmaid. I was so happy to do this for once.

And I learned to sew my own clothes, and make clothes for others.

Sometimes I don't ever feel like I accomplished anything. And every year I get older, the more depressed I get about it. But when I start to take a look at my life through pictures, I realized how much I did accomplish, even with all the obstacles in front of me.
Here's to 30!

Happy 30th birthday!!! Your list is pretty impressive there, so be proud of yourself and what you've done and who you've become in those years. I think turning 30 is the kind of milestone birthday where you look back and evaluate your life though. I turned 30 last year and questioned if I had done enough, had achieved enough etc but I think the only really important question is whether you're happy with yourself and your life.
I think being 30 is so much better than being 25 and even more so than being 20 as confidence and knowledge grow with age.
So here's a big cheers to you, may the next 30 and more be filled with as much joy and excitement (but no more accidents please) for you.
It's a joy reading your blog.
